FireHead
I went out to the JJ and A shop this evening to work out a deal for the key I lost for my old JJ and A axle and after looking at it, Jeff decided just to give me a brand new axle assembly. He has a small shop on the same property at his house, but he has reasonable equipment (including a long stroke horizantal broach machine (practically don't exist on the west coat anymore) in it and it very knowledgable about what he does for a living. I was impressed enough to buy a set of spindle mount front wheel assemblies from him on the spot. If you are looking for anything that JJ and A sells, do not hesitate to do business with them.
shanYE west
I didn't have a good experience with them.. I bought a set of bearings from them to convert my carrier to 40mm. I had a little problem with the conversion and all I got for help was.. "good luck mixing and matching brands" and that was it.. He could of just told me that I needed spacers and a new crush tube to make it work. I'm done buying stuff from them..

All the other folks in the industry can't hold a decent tolerance for their lives. Jeff is about the only onmme who can and therefore cannot be expected to make custom part to support other people crap.

Jeff is about the only onmme who can and therefore cannot be expected to make custom part to support other people crap. I didn't expect him to make any custom parts on his sweet cookie cutter... I just needed some information. I called another company and they were more then happy to help me even though I bought the bearings from JJ&A and used a different carrier plus they sent me the parts I needed to convert from 35mm to a 40mm for free. I never said I didn't like their products. I love the stingers I got from them and I WAS in the market to buy more. I'm over it, I just dont buy anything from them. For every 100 good things your hear about someone there is always a few bad ones. Well.. I just happend to be one of the bad ones I guess.
dynodon
Well, Here is one for ya to think on. I bought an older style 2 bolt hub drag axle from a buddy who had MAYBE 2 races on it, well on my bike it broke the hub and keyway. We simply called them up told him the situation, he in turn sent me a whole new axle, 20bucks to ship the old one back so he could improve from the damage that happened, a new hat, stickers etc etc. Now that is CUSTOMER SERVICE right there.!!!!!!!!! I have delt with many many different companies in this industry, and NEVER come close to that kind of service period. The only two places that even stand out are Jim from Jims sand toyz, and sand toyz unlimited in Cali.

Between Jeff and Louie being about 1 mile apart, I am going to spend entirely to much money in one area.

Every time I find a cheap drag axle for sale and I ask Cameron, he says the same thing.......he wouldn't buy another axle from anyone other than JJandA. FouledOut, I got the same exact answer from lonestar one time about running their axcaliber axle with stock hubs. I knew the shit would work, but wanted to make sure. They told me they couldn't guarantee it would work. But another time, that same company shipped me out a free caliper bracket boss, because the one I got off ebay didn't come with one. Anyway, yeah, I agree with you FireHead. There seems to be an abundance of really great, helpful folks in the Northwest for our sport. I meant to do it this weekend, but got pseudo screwed by work and a visit from my parents. I have also been meaning to swing by Direct Drive in person.
