dajogejr Posted September 4, 2007 Report Share Posted September 4, 2007 If you're talking EGTs...you're most likely running Methanol...160s is about right...or cooler. Plug color means nothing on Methanol...there's a good post on Planet Sand about how to read the burn marks on the spark plug for temp and fuel readings....check that out. STINKYDELUXE Posted September 4, 2007 Author Report Share Posted September 4, 2007 right now im running 110 race gas someday ill switch to alcohol right now im running 170 when im just ripping around and it goes up to 200 after about 5 concecutive drags but im only at 5 degrees and running fat right now. letsgetthisdone Posted September 4, 2007 Report Share Posted September 4, 2007 210 is fine, 220 and up is when you wanna back off, and ride it around at a good pace (low throttle, low rpm's...in 6th gear) to get air flow over the rad and let it cool down...
