how many 64 oz bottles of coolant do i need to buy to fill me banshee

yup. works great for me. You can even buy it already mixed 50/50.

now i guess there's some negative things about using it......

anti freeze is just that. its made to keep your fuild from freezing in low temps. but it does not add any extra cooling.

engine ice and water wetter add more cooling proctecti0on over just running distilled water, they also have a lubricant in them that keeps your seals from drying out.

anti freeze/coolant sure seems to work very well in my truck and semi. really think my semi needs plenty of cooling being its 95 degs out and pulling in the hills.

If engine ice wasnt so expensive, then i would use it. However, i will keep using 50/50. It's cheap. Engine ice is like other things for our bikes, marked up in price just because they can.

I also buy type f tranny fluid too. I try to cut cost every way i can.

I have some engine ice left so i will probably use it in my shee once i get the problems out of it fixed. I hate tearing it down over and over again and losing expensive engine ice.

I change mine every year sometimes 2 or more times. It's expensive but it works and it's a good product and non toxic. And since I always spill coolant, I like the fact it is not toxic. Looks like blue coolaid!

You could also try Pentosin coolant, it is also blue and cheaper. Has super anti corrosion in that stuff likely much better than engine ice.

There isn't anything really negative about using it, you just do not get the surfactant qualities that you would with Engine Ice or Water Whetter (not an antifreeze). :geek:
