Having banshee troubles

Hi guys, I was looking for a good site and found exriders.com and on that site it had a link in a thread over to this site. So first I should start off saying that I do know a little bit about modding motors but want some input on this one.

I have a 98' banshee with toomy T5's, a cool head, and a k&n pod system. I bought the bike last spring and have tweaked it a little bit so far. The compression is 115/113 (mag/pto), I saw that stock banshee compression is 6.5:1 so the compression isnt too far off.

Here are the Issues I still have to deal with: I do hear kind of a different noise but I could be wrong and I belive it sounds like piston slap. So I am a little scarce of riding it and breaking a skirt of a piston. The other issue I have is a coolant leak. I have a slow drip leak out of the shifter seal. My thought is that it is a 98' so maybe time for a couple new seals and an engine rebuild. I found a cheap set of wiseco prolite's for the shee and always have run wisecos in my sled. If I find out that the piston is a little loose of a fit I may bore it to a 376 or just fix what I have. I do not know what cc domes I have in it at the current time.

Thanks
