FireHead
Orange should be more universal... I agree. Whatever we wind up doing, I will probably run it under my current flags. I would really like ot have a choise of background colors if possible. :geek:

FireHead
Here is my 2nd Design. Flag #6 Flag #7 Flag #8 Flag #9 Flag #10 I like the square flags better better if those how the background color change has to happen. If not, I would like the triangle flags with a solid color background. How close are we to being able to order these?
jayzx10r
the regulations we have down here in south florida is "No person shall operate any all-terrain vehicle, motorized 2-wheeled vehicle or motorized 3-wheel vehicle unless it is equipped with an orange flag at least 10 inches wide and 12 inches long and displayed at a minium height of 6 feet above the top of the seat" if anything i can buy the flag an remove it from the stick and put it on just below my orange flag an i really like the blue one you have there and would hit to put orange behind it or something, but if you can make it look good i might get one The flag manufacturers will allow you to order the flag in whatever color you want. They will just pull the logo out of their database after we submit one and mod it to your spec. Short version is they will change any color of any part of the flag. Here is the long version quoted from their website: Q. I like the flag that is listed on your website, but what changes can I make to it? A. You can change anything and everything. All flags listed on the website can be changed to suit your needs. You can change the flag color. (Red, yellow, blue, black, orange, purple or light grey). You can change the logo color. You can change the font color. Don't like the style of of font used, you can change that too. You can change the names or sayings on the flags. The possibilities are endless. Whatever you want, you can have. When ordering, just list everything you want on your flag in the comment section of the order form. If no comments are left, we will assume that you want your flag just as pictured. But don't worry, we will email you back to verify exactly what you want on your flags. How cool is that...you could even add your username!!
jayzx10r
In that case. The current design cab work as is here are my modifications. Flag#1 Blue Logo/ White Background Flag#2 Blue Logo/ Blue Background Flag#3 Blue Logo/ Orange Background Flag#4 Blue Logo/ Yellow Background Flag#5 Blue Logo/ Red Background Personally, I like logo 3 or 5...but I'd vote to shorten the flag and cut the HQ off. I wonder if the amount of orange/red would satisfy the state requirement for the colored flag specification.... Plus, since the flags are 11"x14", that would be a proportional rectangle. All we need to do is agree on a design (maybe a poll after we narrow down to 5 designs or so) and submit our artwork to the company. After the approval process, they claim a 96 hour shipping window. I would like to see us agree on a background color if possible...it would look better in a group!! So keep those ideas coming!! Jay From SanD. Cutting the HQ off is a fine idea. CA has a specific area figure that they need (in square inches) for you to be legal. However the rule is very much like the spark arrestor rule on the sand in CA. :geek:

jayzx10r
My latest design. Substitute the white background for whatever color. I have the PSD file avalible to modify the user name easily. Flag #11 Another great example... Just remember that the flag size is 11"x14" so the design should incorporate that shape parameter. Kinda like contrasting an old school TV with a 5x4 format to the widescreen 16x9 format. I'd guesstimate that to translate to the flag ending just after the "H" of the "HQ" along the bottom of the flag. Out here in SoCal, "PRIDE" takes on a whole different meaning!! :yelrotflmao: I like the Yamaha symbol on flag 3 or 5...maybe try one with the symbol so large that only 4/5ths of it will fit on the flag...cutting off the top to fit, positioned close to the flag pole. I've seen photos where BMW did that with their badge and I thought it looked pretty cool. Maybe try repositioning the two lines of text off center, maybe both at the top, both at the bottom, one on top, the other on bottom... N2Otorious
Next up, again white background can be changed to any color. I believe as a group one color should be used for all members, Orange may not be the color that works with your bike, but as a fellow member is passing by he or she might recognize a member's flag as their own and come over and introduce themselves.
