number52
Bike has aftermarket pipes, 250 main jets at 500 about sea level. Still have stock reeds, running a UNI Filter with air box lid on. First the bike would rev more than 1000 RPM so I put a T.O.R.S. Eliminator on it. Now just boggs bad. The only way I can get it to rev like it is supposed to is when I turn the fuel off and the carbs are almost out of fuel. Please HELP! Thanks

black sunshine
Got the choke tube connected? Are you sure the TORS is disconnected? Got the right slides in the right carbs and bowls are back on their own respective carbs?
number52
Got the choke tube connected? Are you sure the TORS is disconnected? Got the right slides in the right carbs and bowls are back on their own respective carbs? TORS is completely unhooked, black box, parking brake switch on left handlebar, throttle switch, and both carb tops. Slides have angled part facing towards back of machine. What's the difference between the carb bowls and which one goes where? Thanks for the help.
MDS2106
You probably have too big of a main installed for running an air box lid Edited August 24, 2007 by MDS2106
Snopczynski
I would guess choke crossover tube or slides in backwards, If you want to see if it is too lean, take the airbox lead off and see if it gets worse.
BansheeKid15
the mains are way too big for a bike with pipes and a new filter. try like 280 range and see what happens... do a plug chop EDIT: sorry, i meant small. what type of pipes you have? black sunshine
Still don't know what you mean about having the correct bowls on? Aren't they the same? The one with the BB on the bottom goes on the choke (left) carburetor. Don't know what the diff is between them, just that it is important. This is from a reputable builder
