Bansh-eman
i have heard of only a handful of people that tried them... some liked , some hated... for around the same price you can go with something that has been proven in hundreds of differant applications. do see a reason to even bother other then to try and be differant? samc
yeah i wanna run them but if they really suck i dont want to waste my cash, jeremy on sport atv central said they suck because the piston skirts break easy
rocher
I had run namura for about 15 hours of non agressive trail riding and BOTH pistons had a crack in the skirt. I was lucky because I saw the failure during my annual internal motor inspection. No damage to the motor........ Now I run pro-X for 5 years with NO problem!!! 2twin350s
I have run their pistons in both my shee's for over 4 years now.I have NEVER had a problem with them. These guys saying they are breaking or what-not must be unlucky.I have thrashed on mine and they are still going. However,I did not notice much power gain over Wiesco's. As a matter of fact,I just rebuilt my brother's shee with Wiesco pistons and it seems to run better than my ported Banshee's.His jugs are not ported.Next time,I am going with Weisco. But for a cost affective repair,The Namura's Have been working fine for me.
samc
my pistons are still good, my dealer told me they have alot of ring gap in the rings, he told me if i wanted i can still run the same pistons it will be cheaper but by the time i order rings and all i could of ordered these pistons as listed. thanks everyone for there support on this topic
dajogejr
For that price....you still need to get all the gaskets, etc. For 159 plus shipping...you get everything you need for a name that everyone uses, Wiseco Prolites, from Magic Racing. kawiking
well ... i bought some wsm platnium pistons off e-bay..(new).. $125 bucks-- i to trying to save money on rebuild. had cyln bored/ported.. went to put it together and notice the ring gap really wide !!! (had a thread--ring gap ?) . everybody i talk to said way to much-- finally got ahold of the comany and they said alittle wide, but their rings run wide. ??? hmmm... ownwer even said he'd ship me new rings. to this day never got them. got tired of waiting and wasnt going to try them in a fresh bored/ported cyln..... so i had to order a set of weisco pistons !! so since i tried to save money... i threw away 125 bucks and waited a month and a half to get my shee running. its better to save and buy the good parts !!!! other wise your taking a chance. thats my 2 cents.good luck. Nope...and if you mention Banshee HQ they'll probably laugh at you... They've got good Internet pricing on a few things, top end kits happens to be one of them. A wise man once said,"you can go broke trying to save money..." It's very true.
