odaen
whats better ?? shear or cpi's ? i think im going to buy a set of inframes. Probably depends on the port job. I think they're both great pipes for stock cylinder bikes. I liked my CPI's on my stock cylinder bike, and shearers for the cub.

00tbanshee
a builder that knows what he is doing can make a stock cylinder 4mil beat the cubs.might not make as much power but depending on the track it will handle it better.hate to unbolt my stockers this year but have to give kevins cub cylinders a try. FASTOYS
TIT for TAT, we a have stock cyl. NON triple port 4mm and a 4mm Cub (both guys are buddies, and both motors are drag ported and setup identically) That run side by side in 100 yrds. BUT, about the 100 yrd mark the CUB starts pulling away pretty hard...... I have seen NON triple ported 350s stk cyls run 3.9s without light rider and the problem you run into with a triple port stk cyl. is you loose some of your water jacket area and they get hot pretty quick, so with Hot lapping such as racing over and over in the dunes with your buddies etc. you take a big chance of overheating..
TurboBanshee420
if any one else has any thoughts on a bad ass stock cyln 4 mill ,throw it in. I say go with the alky... but add 20% nitromethane. I've never heard of anyone using nitro in a cast iron sleeved motor though. So that might be out the window. just a thought. These guys have it pretty covered. with all the different builds on this forum I'm sure every possible way to ring out the stockers has been done. nitro has 4 times the BTU rating of gasoline. so it makes for a hot little bitch. i doubt you could run a banshee motor for more than 20 seconds at full throttle before shee melts down like chirnoble (sp)

TurboBanshee420
Nitro sounds so cool compared to gas or alky. Just makes the motor sound twice the size.... My heart stops when I get to hear top fuels. I wish i could get it as a ringtone, or in my alarm clock....lol

Hilarious
i want to go F.A.S.T. ....... but things came up and i dont want to spend a grand on cubs right now. If you plan on keeping your banshee, you'll most likely wind up installing a cub monoblock anyway sometime in the future. Its only money too and ya cant take it with ya. Lol And sometimes, Jeff will work for FBTs......
kawiking
id love to go ahead and throw a cub on..... i hav probably 5-6 hrs on these ported cylns, spent 3 00 on the port last spring. just got some cpi in frames and 4mill crank from badshee and having jk customs doing a sick ass paint job for me. 08 hasnt been to good to me so for. just threw down 1500 on doctor bills on my wife last week. so... im going to have to wait on the cub. i hope to be bolting one on next winter, im also going to have jeff put some kind of port job on it ... so i m saving up now. that my plan.. so stock cylns for this season.
