MSBansheeDrags
This is a persistent problem with my Lectron Carbs. Had a guy with a really hopped up engine tell me the other day at the drags that "the intakes on mine hold the carbs up". ???? Do I need to consider getting another intake especially for this?? The one I have is fine otherwise and has been drag ported. Don't really want to change. Right now I have tied the left carb up to the frame with a tie wrap. Is working but looks cheap and may change the angle of inflow enough to hurt performance??
badassbanshee479
just get a set of reed spacers. will move the carb up and away from the clutch arm. Or if ya get a set of cubs, the intake track is different so you do not have to do anything
shee rips
from what i understand reed spacers would fix that
MSBansheeDrags
from what i understand reed spacers would fix that Thanks!! Sorry I know nothing about Reed Spacers. Please advise as to type, est. cost, any changes in performance, where to find them for the best price. I figured the Cheetah Cubs had addressed this. I think that guy at the track had these. How hard is it to change out to these???
dajogejr
Someone had some for sale here....but, here's what I would get if I needed them: Scroll halfway down. spacers, bolts, gaskets...everything but someone to come over and put them on for you. http://www.nossmachine.com/yamaha_banshee_parts.htm Also...pm majicmike. He might have spacers too...but I'm not 100% on that one. I do know he makes killer intakes...but, you don't want to get rid of yours... Have had those carbs and reed cages off several times.
Justintoxicated
If you don't want spacers (sometimes they are a bad thing) then sometimes you can grind down the bottom bolt on the carb so it will clear.
Toomey Banshee
I just tapped the clutch arm down with a hammer on both of my bikes with 33s. Absolutely no problems.
