Banshee0028
I am running a cool head now and thinking of upgrading to a Noss since I am doing a rebuild. I know there is not much of a difference, but thought it might be nice to put on a Noss. However with the cool head I have the longer studs and the noss head uses the stock size studs. I would think this would work fine, but the studs would just be longer and might look funny? Otherwise, I dont think there is much else of a difference performance or cooling wise? There might not be enough thread on the longer studs to tighten down the noss head. I dont know how much thicker a cool head is compaired to a stock or noss head. josh
dajogejr
Those studs are too long to use with the NOSS. You can take my word on that one. Honestly, not knocking Dave's product...but unless you have a ton of cash laying around with nothing better to spend it on, I think going from a Pro_design head to a Noss is a HUGE, utter waste of time. For a few hundred bucks, I can think of a lot of things I'd rather spend my money on since you already have an aftermarket head...

You will need to put the stock studs back on your cylinders.. Eric
dlnoss
I agree, there won't be any performance difference and the studs will be too long to work with acorn nuts. You would get a little better cooling but that shouldn't be an issue with the PD head anyway. I'll still sell one to you if you want. -David

After all, I have enough work to do putting the engine back together.... So for now I guess I will stay with the Coolhead. But definitely if I ever change the Cyl's, Noss it is
