jbooker82
I was wondering if anybody else has ever tried a Projected Tip Spark Plug. If you run B8ES the projected tip version would be BP8ES If you run BR8ES then the projected tip version would be BPR8ES. Standard plug Projected Tip Spark Plug I put a set of BP8ES's in my banshee. I gapped the plug to .080 and installed them and rolled the motor over. Took them out and they were still gapped to .080. That way I would know for sure if they would clear the pistons. Reset the gap to .032. Put them in and fired it up. Seems to run good. Could be because I was needing a new set of plugs. I figured that getting the spark a little farther down in the cylinder couldnt hurt. Plus it would up your compression a little because the spark plug would take up a little more room in the combustion chamber. The only down side that I would see is easier fouling since it is down in the cylinder a little more. josh
blowit
We looked at this years ago and were concerned about flame front propagation in the head but never really pushed too far with that. Let me know what you note in terms of performance and endurance changes. Brandon
