case porting

Recommended Posts

From the dyno tests I have seen it makes little difference at all. Certainly not noticable. It is really one of the piece of the puzzle kind of deals. Once you get all the peices together you have a complete package. Usually like 1-2hp on 100+ hp engine.

It seemed to me like the midrange had more pep after I had it done.

the larger i went in displacement(bore size) the more concerned i'd be with case porting. for a stock bore shee motor, i wouldn't even bother. at 68mm i'd start to consider getting my cases ported. especially with a dune/drag port. if your sinking big bucks into a 10mm engine or larger,i wouldn't bother running it unless it was case ported. but hey, thats just me.

id say every little bit counts.. i mean for what it costs, if you get 1 or 2 hp youre prolly doing pretty well.. i have it done on my 10mm cub motor... but shit after spending so much on it, it doesnt make sense to not go ahead and have it matched.. if youre just stock stroke, stock cylinder wity no porting i wouldnt bother. its not worth the hassle.
