Viktor
Heys Guys, Finnally got my Banshee back together after having it being down to a Blown top/bottom end I Got new Cases, Crank, Pistons, Jugs, Head... put it all together, and spent 2 days jetting my Carbs getting them Perfecet! (they were Perfect) Anyways, I pull it out to bring it home and before i get a chance to load it onto the truck it Dies! I give it a Kick and its Locked up! I play around with the Shifter and get it back around to Nuetral and it fires up but locks up as soon as I put it in any gear. Where do i start? blowit
Not Anymore! But it did You've got tranny issues There. Sounds like a circlip jumped out of a groove or a washer is missing. The trans is a constant mesh type so it is spinning all the time regardless of gear selection. As soon as you try to select a gear, it would over travel the gear and cause two ratios to try and drive at the same time. This is exactly what happens when an override trans if unloaded before you stop rolling. That can really screw things up. Pull it back out and take a peek. When you pull the clutch, spin the drive shaft or input shaft to the trans while in neutral and see if you feel any rough spots. If so, you likely have cracked a gear tooth. One other thing I forgot about is the banshee can actually spit out the shift cam on either side and this will sure screw up a trans as well. White plug behind the front drive sprocket. itsaripper
Take the motor out. Take the plugs out. Turn over so it is setting on the head and the back motor mount. Remove all the little bolts and pry the case apart and lift it off. Drain the oil first. Clean off all the goo reassemble.

okbeast
Ya you have to pull all the same stuff off the sides, but you can split the cases with the cylinders still on.
