bigboybanshee Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 I bought some of the shift recon pants and really liked them. They don't have the elastic on the bottom and are pretty comfortable. Mine have a zipped pocket on each pant leg too. There are plenty other pants out there that fit your bill, but just for reference, I like my shift recons  Quote
Bansh-eman Posted June 27, 2007 Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 awsome, those are perfect. ar the inside of the legs re-enforced or they all one type of material? i was looking at the squadrons too... both are very good prices. Quote
RIPPEN Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 I got a pair of MSR's that I really like.. Basicly they are exactly what you say your looking for.. They are also the "zip off's" so when it gets nice and warm that come in handy.. Cost a little over a bill.. Let me know if your interested and need any more info.. RIPPEN Quote
Bansh-eman Posted June 28, 2007 Author Report Posted June 28, 2007 hey rip you know what style they are? i forgot all about getting the zip off kind. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted June 28, 2007 Author Report Posted June 28, 2007 i just looked at the shift squadrons and they are zip off too.. Quote
3 Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 I have a pair of MSR Strike force, really good zip off pants, even come with a cool belt. Try eBay, theres a store with good prices on them. Quote
KlotzBanshee Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 I have a set of the Thor Static pants. They are over the boot pants, and the legs un-zip to make shorts. They're pretty sweet, but I've yet to ware them riding since my shee's motor is still in pieces. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 ar the inside of the legs re-enforced or they all one type of material? It's all pretty much the same material, there are a few vented spots to help keep you cool. Mine are kind of baggy in the knees so if you wanted to wear pads they could be worn underneath. Good luck on finding the right pair, it's tough considering there are so many damn choices  Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 Thor makes some think and durable paints. I have a pair and there comfortable as hell. Quote
BansheeKid15 Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 I have the Thor pants also... nice material, pockets on each side, zip off, and booty cushions on the inside. I have yet to zip them off because when its hot i just wear shorts. I got them from rocky mountain, about 80 bucks. Bigboybanshee... your right, there are so many damn brands and styles! Good luck, let us know what you found Quote
MILO Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 i've had some cheaper pants before and they are just that - cheap. i finally gave in and bought a set of the MSR ISDE pants. yeah, they are expensive but are comfortable and definitely 100% waterproof. which is awesome for trail / mud riding. my only complaint is that a combination of a gripper seat and gripper butt panel on the pants almost has you mooning the guy behind you sometimes when the shee takes off hard. Quote
csrmel Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 rockymountain atv has a bunch of motocross clothing on clearence. pants are 30, jersey, 10, gloves, 10, etc. grab a set of pants, actually for that price grab a few sets of them. Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 I got the Axo zipoffs & use as shorts as well. Very comfortable with zipper pocket's on each side. They're not tapered like the MX pants, they have a velcro strap at the heel to adjust them. They are straight leg & a bit loose. Inside of the leg has a different material & stands up to the T5 heat no prob. Here's a link, they go for $99. The guy at my local swap meet sells the pants with jersey for $65. http://www.btosports.com/p/AXO07PURSUIT Quote
