10-inch wheels, 9-inch hubs.....

Recommended Posts

Hey guys...

It's been a while since I've stopped by!

I did a search on this topic and couldn't find any answers.

I just bought some 10-inch wheels and I still have the old 9-inch rear hubs.

Where can I find new/used 9-inch hubs? eBay did me no good...

So you need a set of rear hubs that will fit those wheels? I have a set of rear hubs that I took of my banshee... $25 shipped.

Done deal if you can be sure they will fit a pair of 1989 10" rims.

I was hoping someone would jump in and toss me an offer like you did.

Thanks for lookin out theshee!

His hubs are for the smaller style wheels, so I'm still looking!

Anyone know where I can find hubs for 10-inch wheels? (1989 stock)

I'll get a picture soon....

The new rims require a considerably larger set of rear hubs.

yes but it's not due to the 10" rim, you need to measure the hub stud to stud, or somebodys gonna sell you hubs that fit there 10" rims ( & they won't be lying) but they won't fit your rims... you need old style hubs not 10" hubs

Thanks for the clarification man.

The stock hubs are about 5 inches and the new rims have studs that are about 6 inches apart.

Here is a picture of the wheels:

Is the one on the left a front wheel? Looks like a front.

It's a pretty big wheel and the studs are far apart.

The side looks just like a front rim, but I assure you they are rears.

A top view would show that they are rears.

The gold rim (right) is the old rear and the silver rim (left) is the new rear.

Just wanted to check... what size are those tires on both? Thats why it looks funny, the tires on the right are huge and the left is small... that must be whey they look like fronts.

this is gonna sound retarded, but check and see if they will bolt onto the front hubs........if they do, you have a 4x156 bolt patteren.......the polaris predator 500 had this hub patteren in 2003 only,...then they went to 4x110 like honda.......try it and see, but i have no idea who makes a hub for a shee w/ a 4x156 patteren.....good luck with that one!!
