RagunCajun Posted June 14, 2007 Report Share Posted June 14, 2007 So i finaly get both my a-arms almost completely on today and the right side(when on the bike) is giving me trouble. I didnt have enough clearance from the top of the shock and the mounting point. I had to use a dremel and foul it down. Is that normal. I took a picture so those of yall that have the yfz conversion can shed some light on this. I basically ground mine (with a Roloc disc) so that the curve of the bracket was continuous, not square like it is stock. This made for a really clean line and no clearance issues at all. This is an issue with the 450 shocks, regardless if you are running the 450 a-arms or not. My personal opinion would be to grind both sides for some additional clearance, regardless if it appears to need it or not; stuff will move slightly. -Brian Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That way i didnt take away it's strength. There's a lot of metal there "extra" so i know it's all good. The front suspension is done though. Finished it a few days ago.
