I went through the search and didnt get answer I wanted. right now im useing a uni foam filter and have fmf pipes on the bike... I mostly ride in ocotillo wells which is hard pac and for the most part really dusty... would like to know which will give me the best bang for my buck?? please let me know what I should get..
Toomey Banshee
You'll see a pretty good increase in power with pods. When I put the pods on my sons 99 and jetted from 310's to 340's it was a significant power increase.

Are you using an outerware and are the filters properly oiled? I ask this because I went from a uni foam filter set up on my 99, now my sons, and I loved the foam set up. I check pretty thoroughly and I have yet to see anything after my K & N's. When I switched over I was real concerned about what you mention. I havent seen any debris to date. Toomey Banshee
I went to 360's couldn't believe it (neither could anybody else) sea level Yup, 360's do seem big with fatties. I went with the 340's with T-5's and 27.5 pilots. Every ride is different.

Toomey Banshee
Its a bumper to protect the sprocket, since I'm usually in front of everyone when I ride. J/K. It actually came in handy when I hit a tree and stopped short and my little guy ran into the rear of my bike at a pretty good clip. Bent the bumper a bit, didnt touch the sprocket/chain.

wwhite749
so is there a differance between a regular k&n and the pods power wise?
Toomey Banshee
so is there a differance between a regular k&n and the pods power wise? If you're asking about the single K & N vs the twin k & n's I honestly couldnt tell you. I did notice a difference from a single uni filter and outer ware to the pods. I think, 2 carbs need 2 filters.
wwhite749
Thanks for the info, still dont know what i want to do, i think the more protection the filter has the better esp. with the amount of silt in the area i ride i think it would be better keeping the airbox compared to taking it out and installing pods
