SoCalinIt
Actually on memorial weekend, i got ot ride my buddies YFZ with marvins up front. I didnt know if they were hillshooters or comps but it was a very smooth ride up front. I couldnt feel any ruts and there wasnt any bumpsteer in it either. So i think by riding that has made up on my mind with marvins. that's awesome man! if yo can, get me the name (hill or comp). I'd try them out. ClimbAnyHill
Yo Steve, Did you ever make a move on those Fox Floats??
jayzx10r
Hey SoCalinIt. Maybe I can help you here. I have a 20% off coupon good for anything in store or special order from Cycle Gear that expires on 2 July. http://www.cyclegear.com/ You should give them a ring, see if they can order your Fox shocks...and if so, PM me and I'll send you out the coupon. This is an "in store only" coupon so I think you'd have to actually go to their store to place your order, but you can call them to see if they can get these shocks for you. Jay From SanD. jayzx10r
Hey SoCalinIt... I called Cycle Gear and the front Floats are available. Did you know that you can't get the Evols? The only shocks they have for the 'shee are the standard Float shock...No Adjustable Compression or Rebound. They are for stock length A arms only. The CSR I spoke to at Cycle Gear contacted Fox for me and was told that Fox didn't recommend these shocks for racing...they are more for the recreational rider!! But, hey, if these are what you want and you want to order them from a shop near you, feel free to ask for my coupon if you need to order these shocks. If you don't have a shop near you, I'd be happy to order them for you and send them to you at your actual cost...I don't need to turn a profit. There is a Cycle Gear shop 3 miles from me on Convoy St. and a UPS Store 1 mile away so no prob for me!! So here is the deal you are looking for: $695 - 20% = $556 + tax by my calculations. Maybe $10.00 or so to ship...these things are light!! I have Fox air shocks (Float RL and Float RP3 w/5" travel F/R for you detail oriented individuals!!) on my 2006 GT 1.0 mountain bike. Love would be a word I'd use to describe my bicycle suspension... Let me know...time is short!! Coupon expires 2 July!! Jay from SanD.
SoCalinIt
Thanks a lot Jay!!! that's a good deal... I want them more for duning and dragging... I don't race... well, only at the hill! LOL I'm in the middle if this 250R build right now, and it's sucking the life out of my wallet! I'm going to get them, but after spending a G at FAST today... I'm going to have to wait! Thanks a lot though!

Thanks a lot though! Did you wind up buying Shaw's or Fox's? I am at that juncture right now. I ahve it whittled down to Hillshooter Shaw's and the Fox Floats. I can't decided. The pain in the ass that is the ordering process with FOx may be the tie breaker. :geek:
Drone
I cant say anything about their atv shocks, but I used to freeride mountain bike, and I had some foxs front and back on my bike, at a Downhill race i noticed my front seals were leaking, and I brought my bike to their tent and they replaced my seals right there for free, then on top of that they revalved my fork for me, of course I didnt get to ride the rest of the day but I didn't complain :teehee: . *sigh* sold that bike for 2,500 bucks. My opinion on there service... I loved them.

The mountain bike, truck, snowmobile, and ATV shocks are all done by different groups and they are quite different with regards to service, unfortunately. :geek:

FireHead
those bastards lol it should be one place :wallbash: I have shared that exact feeling with them several times, but that was mostly because they are all in different places, so really the ATV, Mountain Bike, and Off-road folks proabably only heard it once each.
