I wanna know who did your domes for you. I am sure I know why they cracked but I wanna know. Would you be willing to send us the domes for engineering purposes? We can offer a real deal analysis on them to determine the failure. Very interesting. PM me if interested. Brandon

shee rips
I know next to nothing about alky setups but i have read that you need to bore or drill out your petcock to flow more fuel. Might have run your bowls dry. that might be why it runs good till you hit 6th and then thats about the time it takes to start running out of fuel. like I dont know shit about alky and i may be way off but thats what it sounds like to me.
dlnoss
Detonation can break the domes. Domes can be made more 'detonation resistant' by changing the angle and width of the squish area, the clearance, and the compression. It is more difficult (not impossible) to make a good dome by modifying an existing dome. -David
