5150banshee Posted May 26, 2007 Report Share Posted May 26, 2007 bought a swing arm from CFM aka checkerd flag motorsports,talked to him about it one time,said he was going thru a couple things a getting a divorce and when he got more swingarms he would ship it out.i left for work for a couple mounths and when i got home still no swingarm,i sent him about three or four PM's amd still nothing.this guy is on ebay with four diffrent user names but still nothing.he was paid in full with extra for rush shipping and this guy still stiffed me over $160. what a piece of work. The guy seems ok when I have talked to him, but I never bought anything from him. I think the divorce story is legit as well are all of his personal problems that go with it. I suspect you don't have an arm because he hasn't been able to get one made for you. The moral of the story is that he should not have taken your moeny if delivering an arm wasn't a sure thing. There's members who like the product & others where things didn't line up. Hope didn't just stiff you and use that dough to pave the new shop! Jamesbrockman1 on here is building some good looking roundhouse swingarms shipped for $200. Regardless of the personall problems, CFM is running a business & is obligated to run that business well. Honestly, for 160 bucks...shipped, you're not going to get a LSR or other equivalent in quality. But...money is money...and this guy needs to man up and offer an explanation. CFM makes alot of business deals on BHQ. There's many happy customers but one too many unhappy ones.. Hell, not too long ago there was a sticky over heelguards & two members.
