Well sorry folks but due to the immense amount of rain received last night and all the way up untill about 6 this morning we have to call off the races. The entire shutdown area is under at leaast 1ft to 2ft of water, if it wasnt for that we could of made it work. We will be having another event july 15th

Yep that probably was metricmaster, everyone was out all night helping get friends, family, and even strangers to higher ground. It is a sad sad sight here in daville. The Fairgrounds and the rec which is in the park right there where completley submerged. Water was as deep as at least 15 to 20ft along the highway there. The river crested at just over 30 ft, an all new city record, and the levee only goes to 26.5ft so the river did break the levee. Along with all this due to chemical leekage from the refinary the water is contamintaed and you can go no where near it. Will have more info later i am beat

yeah, that was me on the news. NBC came by and set up cameras and went to interviewing people, bob (my brother) was also on the news telling when he had to get out of his house.

this the second bad flood i have been in and let me tell you it aint pretty. I dont beleave coffeyville will be right for a long time, all the crud from the refinery will take alot to clean up on top of all the water damage. Mother nature sure is on tough bitch but you have to take the good with the bad. I know alot more people will be buying flood insurance after this.

wait till fall river and toronto dams open up most of all their gates it will reflood the virgiris river probably with the amt they are holding back, i guess they are trying to let the waters go down some before opening but with more rains its not going to be pretty.

i haul out of that refinery every day, and was wondering what would happen to their oil lagoons they had on the north side if they got a lot of rain, if it just rained say 4 inchs they would fire up these huge diesel water pumps and pump the water under neath the oil into the rivers. couple times they forgot and started pumping oil into the ground. oopps.

sorry to hear about all the damage metric, and bob, and anyone else. i hope they get everything worked out.

wish the refinery would get back, those loads were my bread and butter.
