lowriderb
wiseco pistons would be the only ones i would run, you can find top end kits (pistons and gasket set) for about 150 or so..
Snopczynski
Been using wiseco pistons since the early 90's. Never had an issue with one breaking or a failure at all for that matter.
ClimbAnyHill
From all I've researched, Wiseco's would be the way to go! I'm definately going that route once shee's ported.
chronicwatson
my builder told me to run yamaha pistons i'm going 10 thou over for the first bore are they a good piston/rings???
lowriderb
cast pistons (yamaha/namura) are prone to failing once they get any time on them.. if your going to pay yamaha's price tag on pistons you aught to get a set of wiseco's and not worry about it.. CRAZY-SHEE!
get wisecos. do not buy the yamahas. that is a bad idea. wiseco= reliable and cheap btw.. if your "builder" told u to buy yamahas, does he by chance work at yamaha?
Fireroad Express
ran wiseco pro-lites in most of my race sleds.they always made good power. they worked good in my old banshee engine as well. No kidn'.... stay away from those dealer guys. I'm no wrenching genius but know enough to take care of my own. I just laugh at the stuff these dealer guys come up with :yelrotflmao: I was once told I have a bad bike because it's known to cause fires :yelrotflmao:
lowriderb
a dealer just told a guy i met that it was normal for a banshee to shoot flames out the silencers.. and that banshee's only run if they are wide open too.. good thing they guy had his thinking cap on and called around for some second opinions on that flame idea.... they also told him that putting pipes on a banshee wouldnt do anything performance wise and not to rejet it when he did..
