Unsprung Weight

I'd appreciate you input on this...

I bought some tires (Sand Haulers) for near half the price (80 bucks) of a set of Skat-Traks and they weigh out at 1 1/4lb more each over the Skat-Traks I'm replacing. Do you think this would be considered "significant" enough to spring for the S/K's and sell off the SH's?

The postal scale shows the SH's to be 10.0lbs and the SH's to be 11.3lbs.

I like to win races and I'd kick myself if the additional weight cost me 2 or 3 bike lenghts at the top of Old's...

Thanks for your opinion....

light is fast! the less rotating weight you have on the axle, the faster the bike will get to top speed. You could get an aluminum sprocket, and a drag rotor to offset the weight. Or you could send the new tires out and get them triple buffed so they are as light as they can be.

My padla brats are only 7lbs. but they are comp cut drag tires.

WORD! I run the 22X11X8 b2b 10 paddle haulers and they weigh less than the 21X11X8 8 paddle RMATV tires that I have. 2 more paddles, 1 size up, and a lot more roll out. Light is better!
