electrical problem (i think)

Recommended Posts

When you say you switched the leads, are you meaning you switched the orange and black wires on the coil, or do you mean you put the right plug wire on the left cylinder/vise versa?

I will assume you are talking about the spark plug leads. This means your coil is most likely good and your problem lies in the wires or caps. The caps just screw on so unscrew both and cut .250in off the ends and reterminate. This should get you going.

so if i take the coil out then remove the rubber pieces off that slip over the plugs, what is underneath should unscrew (what the plugs go into off the lead the D shaped metal pieces then go into what seems to be hard plastic and moulded around the lead) , correct?

it just didnt seem like they unscrewed it seemed like a solid unit right back to the coil?

so if that doesnt make much sense
