If you really want a Cub setup than check with a builder as i have seen time and time again the ebay thing not pan out. Seems like we are constantly helping people who bought from so called cheaper ebay and didnt get the correct setup or didnt get all the parts to complete the job. So by the time you ship stuff from other places and make calls etc. then ebay wasnt so cheap! Theres an old saying " you can go broke saving money" !!! A cub motor is a drag race motor with no bottom end, little mid, and a crazy top end! I know there are a couple of people on here that can make a cub motor alittle more timid, but why take a top fuel dragster and detune it to run to the grocery store, when you can spend less money and make what you already have work better. damn I guess we where posting at the same time! Everyone always says that cubs have no bottom end, I think this is referring to the torque aspect. No, there is no torque down low, but my experience with my shee is that it is really close to the response I had down low when it just had pipes and stock motor. But there is a hell of a lot of difference when the powerband hits. But yes it is definately a drag motor................... If you wanted the all around motor you do need to look at haveing your stockers ported, I think you would be much happier for the riding you are talking about. You have already heard from Jeff at FAST, but you may want to still give him a call and get more info. But an FYI, he's very busy this time of year so be patient.
