I don't really want to go that route, I just want to buy the correct number of links to begin with. I am switching to a +4 with a roundhouse carrier. I am running 13/42 which uses the same number of links as 14/41 on a stock length swingarm. So basically I am looking for a link count on a +4 with stock equivalent gearing. THanks! There isn't a reall good way to measure what your actuall center to center distance is between your coutershaft and axle. Not all swingarms and adjustment mechanisms measure out the same and most certainly not within the length of half of one link. I have a 114 links in my +4 arm with a 14/42 gearing. With that said you should need 113 links. If you don't want to listen to the people who have told you to buy a 120 link chain and cut it down yourself that's fine. Atleast now you should have enough information to go and find out why everyone was telling you that. Alright, Alright.... geez. It's not that I can't do it, or won't do it, I just figured if I can buy it the right length I might as well. No one told me when I was going to school to be an engineer that I would spend more time masturbating Excel sheets than anything else on a computer. I have the 6 links in my tool box to prove there are 114 links and a 14/42 setup is on my redbike. I think I have 114 on my stock sprokets and I think I am almost all the way out of adjustment on my arm.
