I think they called them Tech-something or something-tech, and they were red and yellow on the front. They showed engine temp, and exhaust temp and a few other things, but I was really interested in the Pyrometer sensor. Does anyone use one of these, or know where I can get more info on the manufacturer so I can get more info? These are a good tuning device If your running on the asphalt where you have enough time to down load your previous pass to a laptop. Animalman294 Posted May 11, 2007 Author Report Share Posted May 11, 2007 No, those aren't them. If it jogs anyones memory these things were like $300-$400 dollars and they did all kinds of crap. They were both runnin' cubs and one was on alcohol and the other was on race fuel. They told me that they helped to tune the bike, and to protect the engine, because when they were on a long run and the EGT got to like 1300-1400 degrees they knew they needed to back off the motor or burn holes in stuff. They ran this with a dial a jet and they were able to dial in the jetting really precisely and not have to rely so much on the plugs.
