5mm Billet Crank

Recommended Posts

This is just a suggestion but I have only seen one 5 mill and it is an older bike. You might want to call around and ask some builders what kind of experience they have had with that crank. Or who is the manufacture of those cranks your builder sells? You could call crankworks or twister and ask them.

Ok for stock cylinders use a 4mm and 7mm The cheapest is the 4mm crank can be had for 400 bucks. The next is a 7mm and can be bought from 700-1000 bucks. If you are going to an aftermarket cylinder then its a whole new story. I couldnt see why anyone would buy a 5mm crank for the cost factor. It just does not make sense. I think your builder bumped his head too many times.
