i already had shearers inframes, and i liked them, but im going all out,and building a 100%drag bike, and i want to get everyhing possible, and im still not sure on what ill end up getting.we will have to see.i also heard that shearers dont run as good in cold weather? :thanks::thanks:

I see your from california and wondered what your definition of cold weather is? The reason why I ask is because cold weather and alky does not go good together. You start the day off and it's warm and sunny bikes running good then the sun sets and temp drops and the next thing you are trying to figure out what jets to use.

well i went to dummont in feb of this year, and it was 19 degrees at 11 am,i think that day was cold,it got up to 30 that dsy,1 of my buddys burn his motor that day,he has a 72 bore cheetha with a 4 mil on alky.i mostly ride glamis, and pismo, and the weather in those places never [in the day time]goes under 60 degrees, but ill be going to dummont like once or twice a year.as far as the shearers go i already pick up that pair of jhon, ill take a couple of pics and post them up,when ever i get them in.i dont believe that weather should effect the way pipes perform, but i did hear that once i thought i would ask you guys, just to se if anybody else has heard the same.

I know with my bike I have seen it drop about 10 degrees but still be warm enough to be in a t-shirt and had to go up a couple sizes on pilots just to have any bottom end. I told myself then if I need anything more than a light jacket I don't even start mine. But that's just experience with my setup. Man 19 degree weather on alky that would be deep pockets and big balls.

I have tried the shearer in-frames and the cpi out of frames.

I honestly think the shearer in-frames were the better performer.

You could tell when the cpi's fell off on topend and the shearers would seem to keep gaining on topend forever.I liked the cpi's but was insanely impressed with the shearers.

If I ever build another drag banshee,it will have shearers on it.

the shearers are going to produce alot more topend rpm and cool thing is they still pull at those rpms while the CPI will have long petered out 100 rpms back ,I say for a drag bike with a full tilt high duration portjob the shearers will make more power after 7,000 rpms ,for a duner setup with say a 194 exhaust duration then cpi will give a broader more powerful torque curve over the sheaers... both really good pipes for their purposes ,just gotta pick the right pipe for the application ...personally i prefer the RDZ racing 2 out 1 side instead over the shearer small bore infrmaes and the CPI on a cub engine ,....they pull harder longer and seem to rev higher over any ive tested !
