If anybody has one let me know what you think. i have the flashpaq , you can feel the power on the highest setting but not so much on tow or economy , i have it with the cold air induction
theshee
What does the tow mode do. That is the one I am most interested in. Ive got 4.10s in it but a little more umph wouldnt hurt anything. Have you used the tow mode?

Have you used the tow mode? , i have the 4 10s on my 2wd short bed borla exhaust, flashpaq chip cold air induction ,and it hauls ass 400 hp at the motor with mods the chip plays with timming and remaps the computer and throw more fuel when needed and also you can change your shift points mine barks sec gear , and you can diagnose problems with the paq.i picked it up on ebay for 350 oh and it also lets it rev to 6k on shifts
KaosBanshee44
I bought an 02 dodge 4 door with only 30,000 miles on it and i'm already on the third motor so i don't have the urge to fix it up cause i'm sure it's gonna happen again on me. As long as it's still under warranty i'm keeping it but i don't wanna put money into it and then have it in the shop again for the same shit. But they are nice trucks. Snopczynski
Neighbor has a flashpaq in his 2005 5.7L hemi. Tow program works better than stock, just gets horrible gas mileage.

blue deuce
wow... 40 horse on a gas motor from a chip is impressive! I bet that is a running mother youve got. it does haul ass but i put a cold air intake and a cat back dual exaust too, they put the eltronic Tremic 5 speed in it so you can manual shift it by just slaping the shifter..... i think the chip alone will get ya at least 15 ponies, and on the 5.7 you can fuck with the tranny also but that box plugs into your diagnostics plug and allows you to program the shift and intake, thats a cool setup, they dont offer that for the 6.1 only the 5.7...... like some one said it adjusts the air fuel mixture, and from the factory they detune these engines, yours is a 5.7 hemi? mines a 6.1 hemi, my freind got the srt10 pickup its a vipor v-10 engine and trans in a 1500 body, and my 6.1 with pipes a intake and chip beats him, but a vipor with the same setup makes me look im standing still in a race?. they offer a whole kit for the hemis that would get 500+ ponies out of that 5.7 but if you need to use that for transportation i wouldnt do all that you may get 20,000k out of the engine.....at the dealer where i got my c300, the manager has one with a super charger on it and the bottom end redone and he's getting close to 600 horse out of a 6.1...its amazing the shit you can do to these dodge hemi motors, i raced a vette zo6 and i got the jump on him and he beat me by about 2 car lengths and i think there 0-60 in under 4 seconds so that gives ya an idea of how fast your hemi will go........ Mines a 5.7 I have heard they tune like crazy, i just havent done much yet. Changed the gears and put a cat-back on it and thats it. I just want it to pull like a mother, so I may have to get the superchips deal and see what it does. Your ride sounds crazy!

Your ride sounds crazy! they offer tons of mods for the 5.7..i think the intake was like 300+ bucks,it has a K&N filter.......... id get that for sure with your pipes, they have a bottom end kit and cam for that motor too............................ what amazed me the most was my warrentty is still good, is your hemi geared taller or shorter? taller id bet you could get a 140 mph?........ Its geared lower. Its got 4.10s now. It had 3.55s from the factory and I hated it. Bad thing is now if you try to take off the line it just lights em up from the low gears. I was thinking about getting an intake, ive heard they will give the pipes more growl. Ive got dual magnaflows so they bark as it is. Maybe ill order up an intake and a chip, see what that does... thanks for the help, always nice taking to someone who actually has what you are taking about and knows from experience. blue deuce
i should gear mine shorter ive whacked it up to 150mph, but id really like 0-60 to be faster....mine has some computer traction control shit that you can turn on or off but with it on i cant even power break a burn out but with it off i can stand it still in a cloud of white smoke...........thanks for the tip i may look into shorter gears
bansheefourseven
I have a 2003 dodge ram 4by4 hemi. the superchip is worth it just for the shift point settings and rev limiter settings alone. I noticed a good increase in 0-60 for sure on the 91 setting stock but I have to run the 87 setting and still run premium fuel to have my zex wet 150 kit in it (spray to play). I had to go with colder plugs and I also put in an a/f gauge. I run a borla exhaust and have electric cutouts for when I really wanna surprise someone. My best 1/4 mile time with my 1500 shortbed shortcab 4by4 is 12.96 @ 121 MPH . I havent been able to figure out how to leave with nitrous in 2wd and not smoke the tires. I run the 3.90 gearing but have 305-60-r20 open country Toyos on her But back to the original post YES get the superchips its worth it. All the other programmers have half the features and are just as expensive. You can update the superchips online for some of the newer trucks 05-07 ??? My 03 has a totally diferent computer than the newer trucks.
