silver600zl
Well...just as the title says, i dont have any spark. Was riding it the other day and it died, just like you shut the key off. Its got a brand new coil, and a brand new dyna fs cdi box. The key switch has been removed and so has all the tors junk. Tested the stator, and all was within spec. Im lost here, any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
05DuramaxDiesel
I am dealing with a similar problem on mine also. On mine once it is warmed up it looses spark. I tested the coil and found that the secondary winding went bad.... just for the sake of elimination test the coil. Do a resistance check between the positive and negative post (with the terminals disconnected) you should get around 0.28-0.38 Ohms. Then test the secondary by probing the negative post and one of the spark plug wires, then test the other plug wire. The secondary winding should test between 4,700 and 7,100 Ohms. I also tested to see if the coil was recieving the signal by puting a test light on the orange wire and kicking it over with the spark plugs removed. The test light will flash if it has power. Hopefully this helps ya out. Edited May 6, 2007 by 05DuramaxDiesel
moneybags
You should pull the flywheel off and shake it. You might hear sompthing broke inside of it. My flywheel took a crap on me just ideling one day. The broken sound was so faint that I could not even hear it. Somebody elce pointed it out to me. I was like I dont hear shit!! When we put a known good one on it fired right up. Mind you that I check everything elce posible first. (Coil, startor, wireing harness, voltage regulator, spark plugs coil pickup) It turned out to be a flywheel. Good luck man

Sounds like possibly carb balance is off or some sticking cables or slides. Not sure of all your problems though. Brandon
