shee rips
i run sonic dynamix plus. it is tc-w3 qualified. http://www.rrcoop.com/product_pdfs/sonic%20dynamix.pdf it says "recommended for todays water cooled 2 cycle engines requiring tc-w3 qualifications, incdluding oil injected models". it is like 6$ a liter. it has a picture of a boat and a snomobile on it. iv been told that i shouldnt use it because of the price and the picture of a boat, that it burns at a different temp its all iv used in all my bikes since i started riding 12 years ago(age 6) without a problem if i switch to an expensive oil would i gain power? jlsparky7
so you use.........amsoil? yes. is that amsoil interceptor stuff any good? i am leary about running something at 50:1would it be possible to get that royal purple stuff you are talking about at a local canadain napa? what is good to run in the tranny that i could get at a local place too? i run yamalube at 32:1 but if i can find that royal purple nurple stuff i might try that got any info on it? is it synthetic Ive ran it since day one on my shee. Ive owned my 04 shee since 4/23/04. I bought it brand new and have rode the shit out of it and made my stock tires completely bald. I just replaced my plugs for the first time a few months ago. Now if I can go through a set of tires (they were completely bald) at 40:1 mix, and not foul a plug for about 2 and 1/2 years on a stock motor, then do you think its an oil worth giving a shot? Im not trying to be an asshole, just laying out the facts. I will take pictures of the tranny oil when I change it. It will look brand new. Leadfoot350
You can pretty much use any oil in the tranny as long as it does not have friction modifiers in it. I have never heard of anyone having a problem with their tranny with plain old oil or atf type f. As far as oil for the gas I run 927 but when that runs out im going to wall mart and im going to run their brand whatever it is and buy it by the gallon. Im going to run it at 24-1 and see how that does. I have heard of other people doing this and im tired of paying 20 or so bucks for only 64oz of 927. Im going to use atf type f also wall mart brand. Im just sick of paying so much for stupid oils. Its all advertisements and hype or im crazy

You can buy a cheaper oil and still get a quality oil. Honda 2 stroke oil is only around 3 bucks a QT. Bel-Ray also makes cheaper 2 storke oils. I would stay with at least a good brand oil myself. Personally, I got alot of money into my banshee and I wouldn't want to take a chance on running cheap oil to save a few bucks. Better safe then sorry. Im just sick of paying so much for stupid oils. Its all advertisements and hype or im crazy I'm new to this site and it has so much info!!! Great place to be. Last year I bought a 91 banshee and it needed to be overhauled before I could ride it, pistons, rings, seals and gaskets, and carbs had to be cleaned out. I have ridden this bike pretty close to 100 hrs. since I have done the work to it only to use walmart two stroke oil in it at 40/1. Still has 145 lbs of compression and runs hard. The tranny uses dextron3 atf in it, walmart brand. The only thing that I do daily is keep the filters clean and change the tranny oil once in a while. I also use walmart two stroke oil in all my snowmobiles and I just sold one with over 5000 miles on, never to have done any work on the motor. I think that the oil from walmart is good and it does have the tcw 3 rating on it. At just over $8 a gallon I'm going to stay with it.
