RIPRuck
Hmm.. Interesting! Does anyone know the price on that? I'm looking to do my suspension next.
Hollister_Hitman
yeah $1300-$1500 dependiing on where you buy it. A few members have it on here and say you can feel a difference. It is suppose to add 1.5 inches of travel in the rear.
crbanshee
i personaly have not riden a banshee with this set up yet. but i have a buddy who had the linkless rear set up with an elka shock put on and he said he will never ride another quad again that does not have that set up. he said it was like going from a vw bug to a coup de ville in the ride difference
Duner440
Ok, I have been on this site for a while now, and I have been wanting to ask this question. I feel like an idiot but here it goes..... How does the no link setup work? I hear people talk about it but I have never seen one. Thanks. crbanshee
im not sure if im about to explaine this just right but i will give it a shot... and please correct me if im wrong anyone.. the linkless set up basically just eliminates the dog bone on the banshee swing arm and has bit of a different mounting system so the shock has a bit more room to operate and takes some strain off the shock. it helps provide more travel, and a better ride. check out lonestar or any major swing arm manufacturer and they should have a set up you can look at.. Duner440
Thanks crbanshee. I will check that out.
Bansh-eman
unless your drag racing id keep that linkage... a no link setup is anything but dune friendly. with a no link setup the shock bolts directly to the swinger. they take more abuse that way but are better for keeping the rear tires planted to the ground. RagunCajun
yeah $1300-$1500 dependiing on where you buy it. Wow....just wow. I been looking at that for my shee but that is one hell of a chunk of money.
shee rips
im not too sure about for a banshee, but im sure its not much different than a bike. a no link setup is much harder to get a rising rate out of, relying more heavily on excellent shock valving. With a linkage system, say for the first inch of wheel travel the shock shaft will move 1/4 of an inch, but the last inch of wheel travel the shock shaft will move 1 inch. not sure on the numbers but thats how it works. like raguncajun said thats a lot of money. I'm sure it would be a big improvement, but, and i may be wrong here, I think for the same money there are other ways to get better performance. my .

I'd rather spend the money on that than a billet stator cover Damn Duner440 your Banshee looks ALOT like mine Edited May 1, 2007 by Justintoxicated
locogato11283
uhh, just for clarification that link is not to a linkless setup. thats the same concept as a stock banshee dogbone. prolly just some different measurements to be used in conjunction with an elka shock to get more shock travel. that setup is NOT a linkless, so dont get them confused... The Elka linkage simply changes the motion ration of the rear suspension from OEM. Not rocket science, but at least they sell to the general pubic (public). I wonder how much oil it hodls vs stock and how long it will hold up before it fades
