Nope...

I'm going to sell my chrome aero tube metal tech arm for a -2....

LOL...

I've never heard of reeds not lasting due to a large motor.

I have heard of reeds (coated carbon fiber) not lasting as long due to alky run through them....

It's been a while since I looked into it but Your already pushing the small reeds with a 7 mil cub... I can't imagine a 14 mil for anything but drag racing. There is a reason the Real Cheatas support larger reeds.

I'm going to try the +2 probably, but may just sell it before next season if I can find the funds new a new chrome arm + Shock (I have a nice chrome quicksand though). I don't want a +6 because even a +4 will be harder to dune with, but I like the wheelie anyways and I don't care about the drag aspect as much. (yea a +6 would be better for launching I'm sure, but I want it to handle decent in the dunes as well.)

I also like the ability to Wheelie up Old's and Pattons Test etc (or at least try to it's harder to hold it on the uphill on a banshee which makes it fun).. Hard to say since i don't have my cub :)I think it would be a bit more difficult with a +6.

If I go for a 4 mil supercub, I guess I'll plan on a +4 for sure, I might get some more torquey pipes too, since it will already be fast as hell for my use.

It sounds like I am in the same boat as you my friend. I think it may be, "Make Shit Up on the Internet Day," and no one told me about it.

Why are cubs so hard to shift? with stock trany?

With almost triple the stock hp and torque from a 4 mil Cub, you get the output and intermediate shafts of the transmission deflecting slightky, which makes it really hard to shift. You have to exaggerate your throttle blip to shift without the clutch.

thanks thats intersting. Is that effect noticable with mods such as mine?

Probably not, but it depends on how agressively you are trying to acclerate your bike and how much horsepower your bike actually makes. My red bike is in the 70'ish range and I can shifht it pretty much however I want with or without the clutch. The transmission in that bike is pretty much stock (I have a couple things done to it, but it's not an override) and I don't race too many foks with it. :geek:

I got about 90hp and mine shifts just fine. I dont use the clutch. Go with the 10mm. I have never heard of the reed problem either. If the hp is too much for you you can run big domes and run pump gas and set the timing at 0. It will be way more reliable that way too.
