peak-j
Okay, I may be trading for another banshee, just wanted to check on the shocks that are on it. The guy says the fronts are pivot works with reservoirs and that the rear is a kohlins. Are these good shocks and what would a new set like this cost? It is an 03 Banshee. Thanks
Ruko
I'm pretty sure you mean Works fronts and Ohlins on the rear. Works are pretty good and Ohlins are really good. But there are a lot of variables for both. Here are there websites http://www.ohlins.com/ http://www.worksperformance.com/
racer
well stock is ohlins, so id factor that out of the extras.
Washburn
Pivot works is a bearing kit they sell to upgrade from the stock bronze bushings to needle roller bearings on stock suspension and many other components. Works with rezzies are a good aftermarket shock replacment from stock and Ohlins makes a very good rear shock for the Banshee and many other aplications. Check the links up top to see if your getting a good replacment over stock or just rebult stockers.
peak-j
Here's the deal, I looked at the banshee and it is a little rough. It has works performance shocks on the front, Ohlin on the back, Lonestar axle, Lonestar a- arms, CPI inframes, Pro Flo adapter, K&N filter, he said the chain broke on him and it cracked the bottom of the case. The crack is about an inch long and leaks a little. The splines on the hubs are wore out, the swingarm bearings are wore out. Also has DG nerf bars. I can trade my 89 Gt Mustang for it but I don't know what I could get back out of the 4 wheeler when I sale it. It just has a lot of little things wrong with it. Any idea what the aftermarket parts would be worth?
peak-j
I forgot, it also has a coolhead, adjustable rear shock linkage, and V Force reed valves. The fenders are pretty much junk.
racer
i guess that depends on the condition of your car. you're pretty much looking at a comparison of two vehicles none of us have ever seen before, that both have infinite variables. im gonna say good luck to you on this one. but could you get a pic of that adj rear linkage? id like to see that.
