Flanagans twin
just a mild port job, but with quite a bit of snap on low to mid, n conservative so its still reliable. thanks.
gipperz
Can you tell us alittle more about the motor? Usually with just a mild port you really don't see huge gains. The right combinations put together offers a fun ride. I hear you on the Mn. weather. Where you located?

Flanagans twin
yea i know you have to have it tuned in very well, thats why ive been waiting to have it jetted n tuned just right, its the MN weather gotta love it, one day 80, another 17 n snow, haha but we are getting very lucky and having a very nice streak of 60+ weather! im located in the new prague or prior lake area, and it has more of a MX port job but a lil bit on the conservative side so i dont have to rebuild very often... thanks guys
Flanagans twin
hello to anyone still watching this post, i just got off the phone with my builder, and he says with the new advanced timing, cool head with 18cc domes, 100 oct. in it, reed spacers, fresh rings, and original jets, it just takes off like a rocket and really rips thru the pipes nicely. here is his pricing for everything. tell me what you think full port and polish-350 parts (advanced timing, new rings for each side, reed spacers) 150 and labor for everything-150 so im lookin a nice chunk of 650 for everything including engine tear down and jetting and tuning and installation of every part and gaskets n coolant, oil, 100 oct, stuff like that, and port and polish. i told him i only have around 600 for now and he said yea thats fine we can work with it a bit. sound like a good deal? r/atvshee
Not trying to be an ass, but porting shouldnt reduce reliability at all. I would think reliability would come in when you get it bored out alot. I have a drag motor and so far its been very reliable for me.
Flanagans twin
no offense taken man, but if u full out drag ported it wouldnt u have to rebuild quite often? i got it back today with those mods and its really nice, i love it, pulls so hard and im not even on it cuz im breaking it in... but i ended up paying 400 for parts cuz rings for each side were 40 n that hurt me and the advanced timing bumped it up n what not... but he gave me a hell of a deal on the port n polish. he originally said 450-500 but i walked out paying him 280. nothing but good from PAUL-LAKE MINNETONKA MOTORSPORTS MINNESOTA GUYS!
