bigboybanshee
First off, check with your local 1/4 mile track and see what rules they go by if any...my local track is strictly by NHRA rules, and it forbids any aftermarket chassis or cut chassis, only stock trim. They also require a chain guard, full leathers, and a few other little things before they'll even consider letting the quad run. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the quad can be no longer than 60" long, hub to hub But, if you have a relaxed track, then it'll be open to what you want to run with... If you're wanting to run 1/4 mile, definitely think about getting a fuel pump. You "may" not need it but it would suck finding out the hard way... Also go ahead and start looking at adjustable a arms, ones you can adjust the caster on. It'll make a HUGE difference at high speeds. I was running stock arms last year in the 1/8 and at 80+ mph, it vibrated like a giant dildo, lol You can run slicks but I would recommend trying to get some American Racers for rear tires. I guess the main thing is find out what rules you have to go by, and build your quad around that...if they don't follow any specific guidelines, then you can start cutting your frame down to shave weight, put whatever length swingarm you want, etc. Let us know and I'll do what I can to help out.

okbeast
I'd say you could probably build a base model for somewhere around 5-6k and it goes up to infinity from there pretty much. When you say you've got the motor do you mean a cub or something?
smokin 2 stroke
nothing big like that yet. its a 4mm with drag porting. wanting to do the chassis and everything first. i not wanting a high doller drag bike. something that is nice without all the chrome,,,
okbeast
Well if you're kinda wanting to start small I'd recommend just cutting the stock frame down to lose some weight and go from there. I mean it doesn't seem like you're just 100% gotta have the best/top dollar stuff right now so I think the stocker would do you just fine. smokin 2 stroke
i was thinking about a frame like this http://www.davemooreracing.com/bullet.php
okbeast
Man if it's worth the 3200 then go for it but gee for $1000 tops you could have a new stocker cut and PC'd and be competitive.
bigboybanshee
I think the drag chassis is a wise move if you're serious about racing. The chassis alone will help your times out tremendously. But I don't think that chassis you picked out is really what you want for dragging on asphalt, that one is more for hill shooting/duning. I'd recommend looking at a rigid chassis. If you're wanting to run a suspended bike, then just get another stock frame and lighten it. Just my opinion  Regardless of the fancy stuff, when it's all done and over with expect to spend 5-6 G's overall, as okbeast said
smokin 2 stroke
hmmmmmm ok. but what would be a good rigid chassis
