dwrracing Posted April 9, 2007 Report Share Posted April 9, 2007 hey guys i just got my first shee and i need to change the clutch.Do i need to pull the whole right side off to change it? i am about90 percent sure but want to make sure is there any secrets or anything to make it easier when i do it??? 350shee Posted April 9, 2007 Report Share Posted April 9, 2007 yep drain your tranny fluid, coolant, you have to take off the R foot peg, your kickstarter, the breather tube comming out of the top of the clutch cover by the water pump spigot(SP) take out the nine cover bolts dont strip them they are a pain to get out!!! your coolant hose through the cases will be very snug so you may have to wiggle it a bit to get her off. try not to pull your kicker out with it, since your new it could be a pain for ya! then you have complete access to the right side of your engine. ClimbAnyHill Posted April 9, 2007 Report Share Posted April 9, 2007 My screws were already stripped when trying to remove. I used vise gripps to loosen the screws & backed them out with a screwdriver. I replaced them with allen heads & now I'll never have that problem.
