Fireroad Express Posted April 7, 2007 Report Share Posted April 7, 2007 (edited) yeah! boost bottles are the shiznit!!! they work almost as well as speedholes! as far as low end is concerned i would think kehin and mikuni have the throttle response covered with the pilot jet on the low end. when the slides are almost closed and then opened quickly,, the intake pulse will pull the fuel mixture from the carbs just as fast as it will from the boost bottle. the difference in time between the fuel mixture reaching the cylinders from the bottle or the carbs would be indiscernable or with-in milliseconds. i doubt you would feel the difference. as for the yamaha phaser not being tunable with-out the boost bottle, is there any chance that this is a piston/port type engine that doesn't use reed valves?
