if you take 2 riders of the same skill, and put them on each bike setup identically, the cub bike is gonna win every time. setup is key. you can stick a 100hp motor in a frame with a stock swinger and get spanked by a bike setup correctly with 70hp. in this case, its highly unlikely that this kid is gonna find a guy with a bike setup identical to his, except with a cub motor..most guys with cubs have them setup accordingly.. with that being said, i still say theres no way this bike is gonna hang with a cub bike, let alone one setup like it should be.

well im hopeing to find out this ? soon. my buddy just built a 421 cub motor, running 39mm mikuni flat slides,+6 swinger,22 domes(pump gas-lol) and a few other things. i just got my bike back together, stock cyl.--drag ported,SHAVED head(.030) -flywheel and reed cages,34mm kein... carbs,35mm pistons, hot rod crank and a set of cpi out of frame pipes.

we are both running 9 paddle 3-buffed haulers, both under paddles on sand . he's not set up good!! im calling he'll have me by 1--1 1/2 bikes.his is a beast but he has no traction.he's suppose to be getting a 14 paddle(i think its to much). hope to run them sat.

boost bottles look cool. but you dont see much drag racer buying them do you?

No offense to jeff or anything but you would probably be better off spending 40 bucks on something else.

I agree. Your $40 would be better spent on an indian casino hooker.

lol do i or do i not need an extended swinger?

I'm interested in the answer to this as well. My motor is getting worked over very similar right now except I will have stock carbs. Mostly fast trails and I do like a light front end (doesn't everyone?), but will I be able to hammer on it? I don't want to flip over everytime I hit the gas  If I need an extended swinger, what length and maybe a good brand?

I take it that you weren't interested in the indian casino hooker then? :ermm:

lol someone replyed right before i said something XD

well see the problem is that i ride lots of fireroad trails and a +4 swinger will decrease the tractiona nd aparrently make it handle shitty ( or so ive heard) if i went with anything id be a +4 because i do mx. I want the stock swinger but people are saying its gonna be outta control.

I personally will not run anything over a +4" arm on a bike that is going to be agressively dune, trail, or MX ridden no matter what engine is in it. I am a big enough guy and a good enough rider that I can control the bike as I need to with a +4" arm. The down side to a longer arm is that it makes your turning radius larger and your attitude when jumping worse. For the most part you can get a shock to deal with most suspension setups satisfactorily these days, therefore ride quality is not an issue if you are willing to throw some cash at the problem. Traction can simply be a function of suspension setting, tires, and gearing. All of which can be sorted out with regard to your swingarm length.

A cub motor for serious MX use is a poor choice and probably isn't worth talking about. If you built a cub motor to go ride at the MX track you are better off selling it and getting a properly setup stock cylinder motor or a Cheetah motor. Trying to figure out the swingarm length for that sort of application with that motor is a problem that has no solution. No matter what length arm you get my big ass on a well setup Blaster will lap you all day long because you will spend all your time either trying to get traction or trying to get in the powerband.
