tmac20031
The shee isnt hitting as hard as it used to. It runs good but the initial hit isnt as good lately. i thought it was just me but people that I usually let ride it started to notice it too. I mean, everytime I used to get on it, it would suprise me all the time but it doesnt seem to have that effect anymore. Anybody have any ideas on what might have happened? I really would appreciate any help.

EastCoast Banshee
jetting, air filter, clean the carbs good, air leak maybe could be one of many problems. Id start by cleaning the carbs good and making sure your air filter is good and clean. Wouldn't hurt to check the reeds for cracks either. tmac20031
Well, what do I need to do if my compression is low, really low? thanks
yamaha04
well if one cylinder is lower by 5 or 10 psi i think then you need new piston and rings, bore or hone depending on what the cylinders look like, if both really low below 100psi then again new piston and rings , bore or hone. depending on cylinders. oh yeah if the cylinders look good and you can still see hone marks some people just put new rings on there pistons and through it back together but myself i would put new pistons and rigs and hone at the least
chris642
could be the clutch. When i put a new clutch in my shee it definally pulled way harder then i remebered with the old clutch. If the jetting seems good then i would look into this.
