hey guys I have a website called "the banshee zone", had for a coupla years now. Well I'm pretty sure I'm not going to renew my hosting contract so the website will be soon gone from the inna-net. I just wanted to tell yas that if there is any pictures or anything you guys wanna save to your hard drive, you better snag the pictures ASAP. I think I have about 3 more weeks left before the site goes down for good.

I thought you shutdown your site a few years ago? Am I not remembering that correctly (obviously I'm not)?

uh, iv been sick all day long, real nice day out today and i spent the whole day sleeping. Ugg. Anyways, the website deal. heres the deal, the first time the site went away becasue I switching hosts, and I lost everything in the process. I still had all my picutres on my hard drive, but I didnt have the pages of the site saved. I asked a buncha folks here how to transfer the website from host to host and I totally screwed it up. I thought I had the pages saved on my hard drive and that I could just re-upload em to the new host, I'm still not sure what I did wrong, im not a website guru(just look at how the banshee zone is laid out  ) but I guess when I seen the webpages in "my network places" I guess I was veiwing them while they were still on the old host's server, while I thought I was looking at them saved on my computer. Does this make sense ? Cause Im not really sure if that what happened. I do know that I did not have the pages saved to my computer. And the site was gone forever. But I still switched hosts, 2 years ago in April, and started working on a new bansheezone, but this new zone would only be used for hosting my pictures and videos. Turned out that I added a whole buncha of pages to the new site over the past two years, check out the site, you'll see em....

fast forward to today, my hosting runs out soon, end of April I think. If I want to pay 8 bucks a month for hosting, i have to buy 2 years worth, which is $190 bucks..... which I'v decided to not pay. I figure If I need to host my pictures, i'll go the free route like everyone else does and use one of those online photo storage places, I have YouTube and others that will host my videos and Ebay will host my pictures for a mere 15 cents a peice when I put up an auction. So the BansheeZone #2 is going to die just like BansheeZone #1 did. I hope this clears up the confusion. Long story short, TBZ will gone for good this time.

Man I loved that site and hate to see it go. I think a few of us could of helped fund it for you. I loved some of your specs page stuff and walk through's, they were great. I've always wanted this site to have an area for just that to no avail. Anyway Dennis, just a little thanks for what time and effort you did put into that site that many of us enjoyed for quite some time.

I went through the site and made *.pdf files out of all the info I was going to miss went it's gone.

I liked all the pictures it had of the engine specifically. It definitely helped fill in some of the blanks left by my Clymer manual. :thanks:
