Mods boyseen reeds cool head 21 cc no lid t5s ? whats close for that setup? Ohh the only thing I didntlike was trying to get the clamps and boots on that was a pain in the ass Quote
woodro77 Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 yes they are a pain in the ass to fit , watch out for tears in the boot and air leaks. i have talked to about 8-20 people that got these carbs and the all got the same jets , 155 main 55pilot , from guys with stroker motors to totaly stock motors got the same jetting . did they come with extra jets ? let me guess , 150 , 160 mains , 50 pilots , they are nice carbs for the price , they are accualy made by keihin , just dont have the name because of copyrights or something , mine were great untill it got warm out now it has a bog right off idle . when they were good they pulled like hell , way better then stock carbs . my mods are , trail port , v force reeds , +4 timing , k+n no lid , toomey t-5's . they are sending me new needles , hopefully this will fix the bog im getting , they said they never had this problem before. jmd0346 Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 I dropped down to a 50 pilot and a 175 main. I tell ya what. It runs much better. Previous was 52/180. Its still not dialed in yet but it runs hard. Now Im starting to feel like it was money well spent. I think they'll really wake up my port job once i get them perfect. Quote
woodro77 Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 i got the new needles from CPW and it runs alot better , it did have a bad bog just off idle , now it is very slight , maybe i can clean it up with air screw or clip position , i will mess with it tomorrow , i called them like 5 times picking the guys brain , he was very helpful , and he sent me different needles for free , i expecting them to say go fuck your self , but they fixed the problem .
