BansheeCJ3 Posted March 18, 2007 Report Share Posted March 18, 2007 Well the 2001 CR-125 I bought took a dump. It was supposed to just need a new top end so I took it apart and fixed it. Put new gaskets in it, rode it around, parked it, then played with the kickstarter to check compression and it locked up. I took the motor all apart to the bottom end and brought it to a dealer to rebuild the main bearings and they told me it needed a crank. They said it would be about $600 in labor and parts. I'm not paying that much...plus it needs a new piston and rings. So if anybody has a complete motor or even just the bottom end that they want to sell...Let me know. Not sure what year motors will fit in my frame but I know that 2000-2001 will fit. I bought this bike to re-sell and make money but now I'm taking a huge loss. Need to fix this thing ASAP.
