2000 Banshee

Recommended Posts

I bought this bike from another member about a month ago. A friend of mine wanted it and I happened to have the money to buy it at the time. I told him that I would go ahead and pay for it so that nobody else would get it before he could get the cash and he could just pay me back. Well, he decided to back out and here I am with two bikes that need to be put together and no money to do it! I figured I would just put it together and ride it this year and I could just make my '97 into a little more of a drag bike. The more I got to thinking about it I decided to just sell it. So here it is: It is a 2000 with FMF pipes that have been painted black (I dont know if they were chrome originally or not), Durablue axle (I think its stock length and has also been painted black), VForce III reeds, billet intakes for bigger carbs, DG front bumper, Renthal bars, and new a-arm bushings. It needs the top end rebuilt. The cylinders will need to be bored. I think they are at .030 over right now. I have the motor out right now. The only thing that I have done to the bike is race cut the fenders, put in new a-arm bushings and clean it up a little. The seat cover needs to be stapled on, that is why it looks loose in the pics. I will be doing that in the next day or two. The pics that I am posting now are what it looked like when I picked it up. I will post some recent ones today. I am asking $1600 for it.

Here are the pictures of what it looks like right now. I have to finish cutting the rear plastic. The rear shock that is on it does not come with the bike. That is the Works shock from off of my '97. I pretty much stripped it down to a roller so I could get it all cleaned up. You are buying a complete bike. I will put it all back together. All you will have to do is rebuild the top end. For under $2000 you could have a running bike.
