Chain Lube

Recommended Posts

What you perfer to use?

for the past few years ive used Kerosen mixed with diesel fuel , makes the chain super clean and lubed perfect and wont let dirt stick to it , screw chain lube or chain wax , those are dirt magnets , you can see yourself in the chain on my quad and its still quiet and smooth

Maxima Chain wax works best for me. I've tried many others and the Maxima just seems to work the best. But you have to apply it per the directions or it will collect sand. Never seen or tried the Tri-flow though.

IMO any thing you use is going to get dirt on it. Clean the mofo once in a while...its called general maintenance.

Totally agree you have to perform some general maintenance if you expect everything to work right. Otherwise you build on the stigma that "those Banshee guys always have to work on their $h!t..." I will admit that I bought some of the Chain Wax stuff but never ran it in the sand. I applied it, it seemed really tacky so I read on the can and it said it leaves a cosmolene like finish. So, knowing I didn't want anything like cosmolene on my chain I immediately cleaned it and started using Tri-Flow. It's worked great for me for several years now...
