alright... i have a 4mil 5 mil longrod stroker.. FAST dune/play porting, trinity IV pipes, v3 reeds, Boss intake, 33mm PWK's, NOSS head 20cc domes, +4 timing, stock box no lid w k&n clamped inside... my altitude is 12-1400ft... temps are around 50 degrees.... would a 145 be too lean?? i had 155's in when it was like 10-20 degrees out and the top end would just sputter gasping for air because it was way rich... what everyone suggest?

ummm, 145 sounds way too low to me. ive always run 158 to 162 main jet in all pwk carbs. i usually run 42 to 48 pilot and settle at a 45. i really think you need to go up on that main jet. better be safe that sorry. at least if you try a 160 and it way rich, you might just foul some plugs rather than burn up a top end...

if all else fails, see what jeff recommends. i bet it wont be a 145 main tho!

Like loco said, something doesn't sound right. I know 5 other guys that have 4mils from different builders and we are all running around 162 mains....We are all at sea level as well. What is your elevation? Air box mods??

Nick, please call me and we will jet it over the phone. Dont put a 145 main in there good chance it will be way lean.

ALWAYS best to go to the source (engine builder) !!

Yep, I agree. Jeff helped me dial in my woods port over the phone and we got it almost perfect from the get-go! One or two minor changes due to temp, alt, etc, and it was F.A.S.T.

also, as i pulled in the driveway, i noticed my banshee not shifting in or out of gear... i put it in the barn... all but 3 of my side case screws backed out and puked gear oil. i guess that will teach me to not put blue loctite on them after i painted my case cover. :shoothead: oh well.. anyone know where i can get some of these screws real quick?
