phx450
No problem man i just enjoy giving people a hard time. I love some of the questions about racing, and while i dont claim to be a pro by any means i try and keep it smart. But seriously have you tried Mohawks on the rea with paddles in front? Washburn
Washburn, don't take this the wrong way....but a good trail rider does not necessarily make for a good drag racer. I've ridden with both, guys that could fly through trails but couldn't get out of the hole to save their life (that's where drag races are won, without a doubt)...and guys that could drag with the best of them, good off the line, hitting shifts, etc., but damn near wadded ass into a tree once we got off the strip. People think (not directed at you...Washburn) that drag racing is dumping a clutch and banging gears. That's like saying driving a car is turning a key and putting it in drive. There's simply more to it than that..... I mean he cant be horible at it, but mabey I am just the better racer in a straight line its possible. I still want to find out what my machine can do against an equal rider on all of the 450s. I agree there is more to drag racing. Ive always been good at both woods racing and Drag. Drag you have reaction time Focus, Controling the bike off the holeshot, launching in the rite gear and shifting your bike at its peak RPM in each gear without maxing it out it has to be just about perfect if you against a machine that can hang in a straight line with you add that to the excitment and thats the most part of drag. I Woods race and am going to do GNCC series because of the skill level involved and the feeling you get finishing a race is like nothing else finishing and winning now thats a combo that very few people get to feel. On another note I raced a 2 mile stretch of some of the hardest ofthe hard trail elements that I never got a chance to test ride on Friday with alot of 450s some with suspension/Motor mods Trick Raptors and 2 trick blasters only a few people dident have suspension and alot of the guys on the modded 450s race in the Pro AM GNCC class around here and I am damn DAMN proud to say I took third rite behind 2 450rs with suspension both riders practice and have practiced all of their lives racing these envirorments. Im still AMPED!!!!
