We went throw it and put it all back together on saturday. We fired her up and she was poping on the rightside. We tuned it a bit and it took some out but its still poping when you fire it up. Without actually riding it, it sounds like a lean condition if you are experiencing this at full throttle situations. Since both cylinders should jet the same, you need to do a plug check from WFO to see if it is indeed lean. If so, you may have a clogged carb, poor porting (if applicable) or an air leak drawing air in and leaning it out. Cracked intake boots can cause this as well. dajogejr Posted March 12, 2007 Report Share Posted March 12, 2007 Yeah, I'd do a leak down test Dan.... Do the simple things, too... Check the air gap on the flywheel/pickup. WALLACE84 Posted March 13, 2007 Author Report Share Posted March 13, 2007 I checked the air gap,swaped coil wires, richened it up a bit, checked for air leaks and couldnt find anything wrong. When I swapped the wires it was still in the rightside cylinder.So the coil is fine and the air gap is at .020. We cleaned the hell out of the carbs too but it still doing it. Thanks -Dan Since both carbs are jetted the same, and you cleaned the hell out of them...but it only does it on the right side...I doubt highly it's a jet problem unless you didn't clean them good enough. Time for a leak down test.. I agree. also put brand new plugs in. A few hours old does not cut it. You just need to rule that out. Also check for blue spark and check grounds.
