greg_banshee
hey just wondering what you guys think about one of my cylinders, i inside micrometer'd it where it is caved in and it measures 64.85mm, the rest of the bore is 64.50mm. just wondering if yas think it might be able to be bored out, & the only worry i would have is that where it caved in is it going to be a weak spot in the sleeve ? main_event
i would bore it out to .040 over or 65mm that should clean it up, i have had some nasty blow ups and and bored then to fix the scrapes. they ran fine and just as long as all the others. dajogejr
What exactly do you mean by "caved in"... Can you get us pictures? I'd say either way, take it to a machine shop and see if they can bore it to 65mm...let them decide if it's structurally sound or not... **EDIT*** Sorry, I posted that up before the picture loaded for me. I'd bore it....see how it goes.
